New Season: New Do

Fall is right around the corner! I always love when a new season starts.  It’s like a reset button for me.  At least twice a year I like to change up my look for the new season.  This normally happens for me in Spring & Fall.  One of my favorite things to do is change up my hair style.  When it comes to my hair I am very low maintenance.  You can ask my hair dresser.  I come in about twice a year and it’s always to change things up.

Freshen up my Color

For Fall I wanted to go a little darker than my normal color.  I really have a hard time straying from my dark color.  My darker hair really compliments my skin tone well.  I also haven’t played with any color for a while.  This season I am playing it safe with my color and I went with an espresso brown color that translates very dark. I also like to wear a lot of color no matter what season it is, and this color will go well with deeper reds and jewel tones.  I’m excited to dress for Fall this season and style my hair in fun cool ways.

Short Choppy Style

Now! For my new cut.  I went short! Yes! I have been this short before, but not like this.  I really wanted a short cool style that would be easy to manage.  I am heading back to work in a couple weeks and I still want to look stylish and cool. But I don’t have all the time in the world, so this is going to be good for me.  I’ve had this style for about a week and I’ve been playing with it and I’m in love.  I can still braid it and put it half way up.  I chose to not have layers because I wanted a straighter look.

New Season: New Do

Short Hair Pro’s & Cons

I would say the only con of having a short hair style is that you can’t put it up in a pony tail.  However, I have had my hair in ponytails and buns for about 4 months now and I’m ready to start keeping it down for a change.  The list of Pro’s is pretty good though.  I think the best is that I don’t have to deal with blow drying.  I can easily air dry it and wave it head out the door.  Also curling, straightening, and all styling takes about 15-20 minutes instead of 45 minutes to 1 hour.  Also, I am super into big earrings lately, and with my shorter hair I will be able to show them off now.

I hope everyone is looking forward to the Fall season.  I know I am.  I am also excited to be sharing some fun new fashion posts along with more lifestyle posts.  So, don’t forget to enter your email and subscribe to the blog.  That way, you know each time I put up a new post.  I would love to hear your thoughts on my new do and let me know if your making any changes to your style for the new season in the comments below!
