Sunday is the most important day in my weekend. It’s not only my day to relax but its my day to do a few things that start my week off on a good note. My weekends are very precious because once Monday hits my mind is all on work for the rest of the week. Today I want to share with you all my Sunday routine and give you guys a little inspiration to start your week. If you guys have any Sunday Rituals, you would like to share I would love to hear them. Just leave me a message in the comments. Keep reading below for my Sunday Musts!
Most Sundays I am the first person awake and I like to use those first moments of quiet time for myself even if it’s just 15-20 minutes. Before this used to be the moment I had my coffee but because I’m pregnant it’s my wakeup breakfast time. I open the blinds on my patio and let the sunshine stream through the kitchen area. Then I sit and enjoy something small to eat because the little one is usually already hungry by this time. I love to have breakfast with my husband, so I’ll have a little snack to tide me over. After my quiet time, I get ready for the day to head out to do groceries and run errands.
“Sundays are the days to do things that feed your soul for the rest of the week.”
Sunday is my day to go to the market and pick up groceries and fresh flowers. If I have any errands to run I like to get them done early Sunday morning, then head to the grocery store and get what we need for the week. I love being able to pick up fresh fruits and vegetables for the week and of course other essentials like leafy greens and orange juice. My husband always tells me that I should just use grocery delivery. Growing up we did weekly grocery runs, so I think it just carried over into adulthood. It also keeps me active and going since I’m in my last couple months of my pregnancy.
Another thing that I pick up either at the Farmer’s Market or at the grocery store is a couple different types of fresh flowers. My husband and I recently purchased a dining table and every week I like to have a fresh bouquet set out on the table. Fresh flowers help keep the good vibes flowing in my house. Also, like waking up to a fresh floral scent every morning. Stay tuned because soon I will be posting about the best flowers to choose for your home.
“Flowers always make people better, happier, and more helpful; they are sunshine, food and medicine for the soul.” – Luther Burbank
Even before pregnancy I realized that Meal Prep was something that really helped keep me maintain my weight and energy up throughout the week. So, each week I plan out what I want to do for lunch and dinner and usually I will pick up for ½ the week then on Wednesday I will pick up for the 2nd ½ of the week. Planning out your meals at the beginning of the week can really keep you healthy and can save you lots of money. It’s tedious to buy lunch every day, Meal Prep is a much healthier option.
Most Sundays my husband & I try to spend some quality family time. Some weekends are busier than others, but most weekends we get to go see his family and the pups. Family Time is good time to just unwind and relax.
After family time we usually head home, and I use the last couple hours of the day to just unwind. Depending on my energy level I either give myself a fresh manicure or use the time for some pampering such as mask time!
“Don’t forget to put yourself on the top of your to-do list every day and everything else will fall into place.”
I know this seems like lots to do on a Sunday, but my days usually have such a normal flow to them that it’s just habit now. I hope you all enjoyed this post and maybe it will inspire you to create your own Must Do’s to start your week off just right! It’s always important to have one or two things that you do for yourself. Many things will change when my little one comes on board, so I will have to re-share my Sunday Must Do’s in the future so stay tuned!
