Baby Briana’s Desert Dinosaur Nursery Reveal

Today’s the day! It’s time for Baby Briana’s nursery reveal. I’m so excited to be sharing this post with you all today! I know I have been saying for a while that I would be doing a nursery reveal. The nursery wasn’t quite complete, and I wanted to show it when it was complete. I’m sure as time passes I will be added a few things here and there. Of course, as Briana gets older I will move things around as well. When it cam to choosing a theme for the nursery. I had a little bit of a hard time. I am not very good when it comes to home décor, but I wanted it to be cute. I knew I wanted to do something with plants or flowers, and I wanted it to have some bohemian touches. That was my original plan anyway…

Nursery Reveal: Desert Dinosaur Theme

When it came time to settle on a theme. I told my husband what I had in mind. He immediately said…” let’s do dinosaurs.” Well if any of you have shopped for dinosaur décor you will notice that it is all very masculine. Which is another reason that it took me so long to complete the nursery. To accommodate both my husband’s love of dinosaurs and my love of plants. We decided on the Desert Dinosaur theme. A mix of both worlds. I was finally able to find a few girly and colorful dinosaur items with my mom’s help.Baby Briana’s Desert Dinosaur Nursery RevealBaby Briana’s Desert Dinosaur Nursery Reveal

The Tassel Canopy

One of my favorite items in the room is the lovely tassel canopy that I found at Target. Pillowfort has a lot of fun colorful decorations for kid’s rooms. Originally, I had wanted a teepee, but when I saw the canopy I fell in love. For right now I have the canopy draped over the crib, but in the future, it can convert into a play area for Baby Briana. I really like that most of the items in the baby room can grow with her as well.Baby Briana’s Desert Dinosaur Nursery RevealBaby Briana’s Desert Dinosaur Nursery Reveal

The Cactus Wall

Since we live in an apartment I wanted to make sure the walls were lively, but I couldn’t paint them a different color. I decided to find some cacti decals that I could make into a cactus wall and incorporate plants in that way. I also found these pretty triangle shelves (also from Pillowfort) and I placed some faux succulents in each of the little shelves to add some color to the room. I really love this plant wall and I’m excited for her to check it out as soon as she can.Baby Briana’s Desert Dinosaur Nursery Reveal

The Changing Station

Everyone who has a baby knows that changing diapers is not the most fun activity. For this reason, I wanted to make the changing station very fun and happy and full of colors. The furniture for the baby’s room is white and espresso so anything else that I bought needed to have color. I found these cute little racks to display the diapers, creams & wipes in. I painted them gold and hung some colorful dinosaur prints that grandma bought right above it. We also found a colorful dinosaur print changing pad cover from Spearmint. If you haven’t heard of Spearmint you need to check it out. They have lots of beautiful items for baby.Baby Briana’s Desert Dinosaur Nursery Reveal

My Rocking Chair

I had a really hard time trying to decide if I wanted an actual rocking chair or something a little more fun. I opted for a swivel rocker from Babyletto and I paired it with a cute boho foot stool. The foot stool I found at Home Goods on sale, and it has all the colors of embroidery in the stool that I wanted for the room. I love my little rocking station. Even though we don’t use it as often yet. It’s a comfy spot to sit with baby and read to her later. For now, we just rock and chill in it.Baby Briana’s Desert Dinosaur Nursery Reveal

I hope you all loved the décor. I really enjoyed sharing it with you all. Let me know what you think of her room in the comments! Wishing you all a Happy Thursday.

XOXO, Happy Girl
